I wrote this article to help you remove “From Doc to PDF”. The “From Doc to PDF” removal guide works for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, as well as every version of Windows.

“From Doc To PDF” is a browser extension, published by MyWay. The tool converts other file types into .pdf and transforms .pdf documents into other formats. “From Doc To PDF” supports over 30 file types. The application was manufactured for Google Chrome. It functions as an extension. Although the tool provides convenient functions, there are significant downsides to it. “From Doc To PDF” is categorized as adware. The ads the program displays are not confirmed to be reliable. They could take you to corrupt websites, spreading malware. “From Doc To PDF” also has the ability to monitor your browsing sessions and record data on you.

What are the dangers around “From Doc To PDF”?

The adware works for the benefit of its developers. In essence, the content it displays is misleading. The ads promote bargain shopping deals. They show offers for various goods, including technological devices, clothes, furniture, decorations, gardening equipment, toys and many others. “From Doc To PDF” generates ads in different formats, including pop-ups, pop-unders, in-text links, interstitial, contextual, floating, inline, comparison and full-page ads. Clicking on the windows could redirect you to rogue websites which will transfer infections to your machine.

“From Doc To PDF” uses the pay-per-click system to generate revenue for its creators. This is a popular monetizing mechanism. The proprietors of the adware receive commissions for promoting third party content. The amount is calculated according to the total number of user-generated clicks. Just showing people the ads is not enough. This is why the adware is so aggressive in its campaigns. It uses tricks to garner users’ interest. The shady tool highlights the bargain offers with bright colors, flash animations, cursive fonts and other special effects.

Behind the sparkly and glittery presentation, there is a gloomy outlook. The ads could turn out to be harmful rather than helpful. There is no way to determine whether a given window leads to a genuine shopping platform or a malicious website. The sources for the ads are not disclosed. Be advised that “From Doc To PDF” promotes the content of all paying parties without running a security check. It is best to avoid the advertisements altogether.

The developers of “From Doc To PDF” have taken precautionary measures to avoid any legal issues. The rogue tool belongs to a company from Yonkers, New York called Mindspark Interactive Network, Inc. The terms of service (TOS) and privacy policy exempt the organization from responsibility because it only mediates third party content. The adware can record your browsing history, tracking cookies, IP address, email, geographic location, user names, passwords, banking details and other sensitive input. The gathered data can be sold to cyber criminals without your knowledge.

How is “From Doc To PDF” distributed?

“From Doc To PDF” has an official website, registered to the domain “From Doc To PDF”.com. There is a blue download button on the homepage. Users are asked to accept the terms for using the extension before adding it to their browser. The conditions are not favorable, as they include a lot of authorizations. By installing “From Doc To PDF”, you would be allowing it to read and change all your data on the websites you visit, as well as your browsing history. The tool will have permission to manage your downloads, apps, extensions and themes.

If you do not recall accepting the agreement and adding the extension to your browser, the installation occurred behind your back. Adware tools are accustomed to using furtive methods. “From Doc To PDF” makes use of the most common penetration technique. It travels bundled with another program which functions as a download client. The host for the secluded tool can be a pirated program, a freeware or shareware application. To avoid contacting rogue software, read the terms and conditions of the tools you add to your system. If there are extra programs offered, opt out of them. They could be harmful.
