IdleBuddy belongs to the Trojan Horse virus family. Its presence on your computer is always a bad sign. Your AV software might detect it under a different name – Ibservice.exe. Everyone is afraid of this type of virus – the Trojan Horse. And with a reason.

Trojans are known to be incredibly stealthy and versatile. Hackers love using it to wreak havoc on victim’s computers. This particular virus called Idlebuddy is programmed to exploit the CPU and graphics card power of the victim’s computer, so as to use it to mine for cryptocurrency. It all happens without the user’s permission of course.

Victims of the Ibservice.exe will notice a sudden decrease in the overall PC performance which will only get worse by the day. Users can also experience sudden system crashes and their programs and applications will start to freeze.

Viruses such as Trojan Horses are often bundled together with programs and applications that have been repackaged by developers. The thing is, this malware’s presence is not properly disclosed and thus the users have no idea what they are actually downloading. There is one way in which you can have the upper hand and easily avoid a potential virus infection.

If you opt for a Custom/Advanced type of installation, you will be able to see the full list of bundled software and can easily deselect any program you deem suspicious or never intended to download in the first place.

We also recommend getting your software updates from licensed and reliable sources only, rather than to blindly trust a dubious fake update pop-up request that can reroute you to a potentially dangerous website.

The Ibservice.exe virus is very dangerous and can severely damage your computer. Trojans can conceal themselves from your sight and don’t necessarily launch an attack as soon as they penetrate into your computer system. So you might not notice its existence right away. But as soon as they get active, you won’t be able to do any work on your PC.

Symptoms of a Trojan Horse infection include but are not limited to slow internet connection, high CPU and graphics card power usage through a process named ibservice.exe, windows will minimize and maximize slower than before, the same slowness will affect your programs and applications – they will often crash and freeze.
